About Our Musical Director, Jez Cladd

Jez was born and raised in Luton and Dunstable, with a lifelong passion for music. His musical journey began with learning the violin and singing in Priory Church Choir, before moving to boarding school to join the Peterborough Cathedral Choir, where he was honoured to serve as Head Chorister in his final year. On returning home, Jez focused on piano and percussion and more recently has rediscovered his love of singing.
Jez studied music at Huddersfield University, majoring in composition and conducting.
Outside of music, Jez has worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in the ambulance service and is now a registered Children’s Nurse, in which role he also teaches healthcare professionals in areas such as safeguarding and life support.
About the role of MD, Jez said "I am delighted to be taking on the role of Musical Director for LCB. This is a completely new venture and challenge for me: one I look forward to approaching with both enthusiasm and a healthy dose of trepidation".
